Every PAES Lab ships with on-site setup plus a full day of supervisor training with a certified PAES trainer. Teams get live instruction, a library of thirteen training videos, ongoing support, and access to the PAES Scan App.
What training covers
The standard PAES training for new sites includes:
- Lab set-up. A certified PAES trainer configures the lab on-site. Your team doesn't need to be present for this — set-up is handled by us.
- One full day of live training. The single day your staff needs to be present. Focused on lab management, scoring, report generation, and IEP integration.
- Thirteen comprehensive training videos. The PAES video library is available to your team for initial learning and ongoing refreshers.
- PAES Scan App access. Your staff is set up in the app and walked through its scoring and reporting features.
- Ongoing supervisor support. Access to PAES technical support and training specialists.
Typical attendees include special education teachers, CTE instructors, paraeducators, aides, job coaches, school psychologists, DVR counselors, and occupational therapists.
Why trained sites perform better
The 2026 PAES Customer Impact Survey found that recently trained sites scored 0.3 to 0.7 points higher on impact items than untrained sites (C17). That is a quantified case for taking the training seriously, and a strong case for booking a refresher. It is also why we bundle training into every new PAES Lab package rather than selling it as an add-on.
Certification
Supervisors who complete the full training cycle are certified to score PAES and generate reports. Lead supervisors can progress to a train-the-trainer level where they take on training responsibilities within their district or regional network. Scheduling training
New PAES Labs are delivered on a rolling schedule coordinated by your regional representative. Existing sites adding staff can book refresher sessions through the PAES support team. For group training across multiple districts, regional cooperatives, or state-level cohorts, contact our training team directly.
